Sulfa Allergy
I'm allergic to Bactrum (sulfa based) and after having currents and Santana's in a meal last night I had the same reaction and ended up in hospital. Sme of the preservatives used are sulfa based.

You will notice that salad bars often have notes on them regarding sulfite allergies. They are used as preservative and are found in many foods. Also in certain wines.
