nerve pain in chest?

No clue where to put this.
I am having pain in what I believe are my nerve endings on my chest. No visible rash or anything but a burning sensation.

(I also have psoriasis not on my chest that is minor, I have issues with my MRI's of the brain with gray matter that is possible MS but I don't think so and I just went for the MRI and I'm thinking not related).
I have a knee injury that is healing from November and also back from a car accident, all healing.

Any help?

Re: nerve pain in chest?

Hi.
I suffer from intercostal nerve pain and can tell you I've never had a rash at the site. I do have a burning sensation. I think you should explore other symptoms and potential causes. I do know that a burning sensation does not always mean nerve damage. There could be skin issues, vitamin deficiencies, and allergies.

If you do think it is nerve pain than I'd ask... Are you experiencing any other symptoms in you chest area? Do you have an idea as to what may have brought it on? Perhaps, being hit in the area or a medical procedure or deep stretching and twisting like during yoga?

If you have any questions for me about my pain, don't hesitate to ask.

Re: nerve pain in chest?

thank you.

i was in an accident in early November. Suffering knee injury, shoulder pain and mid back pain.

I wouldn't have linked them....

My primary doctor is useless....... every time I go all I get is you're going through changes. Note same doctor apologized after an MRI revealed massive lesions after I had to beg her to do something.... If I could find an in network doctor that's half way good in my area I would... (this is my 3rd useless doctor, I'm better at figuring it out, she gave my hubby antibiotics for a cold, gave me a diuretic when it was a blood clot.... she's more likely to kill us than help).

Re: nerve pain in chest?

If the lesions are in your abdomen they could be your culprit and then laser therapy may help with breaking them up and the pain. I did weekly treatments for 8 months. They really helped with the lesions and scar tissue damage and temporarily lessened the nerve pain. I found my scars changed texture on the surface and my stomach and intestine issues were basically cured. The pain however remained but that's because of how deep the damage is.

Thankfully I've never experienced a doctor like you describe... though my old family doc and my gastro specialist kept me under medicated for my nerve pain for years.
My pain started after a liver biopsy; my liver enzymes were extremely high or all over the map. It took me changing provinces - I'm in Canada, to get better care for the pain but I still have no clue as to why my liver enzymes were as they were. The old docs say autoimmune hepatitis. My new doc admits she doesn't know why.

I hope you find some help.
