Question HELP! Sore jaw, mouth ulcer, cancer possibility?

My left side lymph node below my jaw often swells a bit more than my other nodes when I am fighting an infection, at the most even to the size of a jaffa. Fine - i understand this is not abnormal.

However at the moment (and for a few months now) I have a repetitive ulcer above that place in my mouth, and my jawbone itself is sore, and it feels like as though around the bone is swollen - it is quite sore to touch that place around my jaw now - it feels kind of bruised and there is some unusual lumpy bits around that bit of the bone too.

Is this something i should be getting checked out - and if so what should i ask or what test should i take???
