Well let's see...
A year ago around this time (a few weeks before thanksgiving) I fractured my big right toe. Hurt really bad for the first few days, the pain started to go away and I could walk on it again, however I'm positive it _still_ has not completely healed, and I do not know what's wrong...
It is still slightly swollen (it's a bit bigger than my other big toe), I cannot bend it at all, and it still aches sometimes at night. For example I can no longer sleep lying on my left side, because if I do than my right big toe is lying against my bed with my weight on it, and that bothers it. Also sometimes (like right now, and during the winter mostly) I notice my foot w/ the broken toe gets very cold... it never did this before my broken toe.
Before everyone suggests I go to a doctor or podiatrist or whatever let me state that I have many times. I've had several x-rays done, each one it's the same story: it's a clean fracture, nothing out of place, just give it time to heal (oh god how I'm tired of hearing that statement -- "just give it time to heal"!) I even wore one of those special walking shoes for several weeks, and the podiatrist I went to specially wrapped it so it would stay in place and that also did nothing.
I've kind of just given up... I don't know what to do anymore. All I'm ever told is that I just need to give it more time but I KNOW that it's not suppose to take a year+ to heal... it's really been bothering me lately too
