I rolled my ankle playing soccer. I heard a pop when i did it and initially couldnt put any weight on it. The next day I could walk on it but it was painful and swolen, but not really bruised. I went to Urgent Care (it was a Saturday) and they took x-rays and the doc said i had a small crack in my fibula and put me in a splint. I went to the ortho on Monday and the doc said he just thought it was a severe sprain. He said the xrays were not of the greatest quality but was just going to send me on to physical therapy. Its been five days and im not set to go to physical therapy for another two. Its still swolen, not bruised. I can walk pretty ok on it, but if i turn a certain way there is just a shooting pain. Do you think the ortho could have been wrong and it really is broken and not sprained? Ive heard that breaking a bone hurts less than spraining your ankle.
