about my knee surgery

i have met with an accident 2 yrs back.they use 3 screws to fix my tibia platue fracture.now i want to remove those screws,,is that any harm>>?pl note i dont have any problem rt now.but if i get remove these is thre any chance of problem>?how many days i hv to take rest>?

If you are a healthy person with no vascular or diabetic issues you should be fine with removal of your hardware -however there is always risk of infection with every surgery.The reason I am replying to your mail is my spouse is presently undergoing aggressive antibiotic iv therapy (4 months already)for having developed Osteomyelitis from hardware placed 23 yrs ago for fracture of tibia and knee. I suggest getting a few opinions before making your decision and let us know how you do,
