Hip bone fracture surgery for Grandfather who is 97
My grandfather had a fall and broke his hip bone. He was operated for fixing the broken hip. He is 97 and was able to bear the surgery. now that close to two months since his surgery is done, the recovery seems too far. he has become bedridden and we have to change diapers twice a day. can anybody suggest what we can do as he is not able to speak properly only he says it pains during the clean up in the morning and evenings. but other time, he does not speak even we try to speak to him. is it common among the patients who will under go the post operative care at this age? or can we see some recovery. we have tried to make movements of his joints after surgery but he does not co-operate. He is unaware of his condition as he never knew that he had a fall, broke his hip bone and he was operated when he was in the hospital.
