options other than ankle fusion

I am 16 months into a broken ankle .There has been 2 surgeries, the first to set the bones the second to remove the damaged cartledge"some relief but not much to speak of .I want to know if I have any other options other than fusion?

Have you checked over on the Foot Problems message board ? - there is a lot of discussion there re: ankles and procedures related to them
