pelvic fracture

9 months ago I fell while skiing, landing hard on my left hip. I was told it was a stable pelvic fracture, but xrays have shown shifting of the bones. A lot of pain. I'm meeting with a orthopedic surgeon next week to discuss a periacetabular osteotomy. Any advice?

Re: pelvic fracture

Can you be more specific on what bones were "shifting". Only thing I can think of would be that your bones have stabilized and now you have a malallignment at the femur and acetabulum. The proceedure literally mean bone removal around the "socket". Bones have healed but they didnt heal anatomically correct causing pain. (assuming thats why your having a consult with your doc.)
