re: modified Brostrom repair - walked too soon in cast!

hi All
I had an atfl repair in my left ankle over 4 weeks ago and am supposed to be NWB. I am in a plaster cast for the next couple of weeks. A few days ago, I got impatient and walked in the cast up and down stairs in my home and in a couple of different rooms. A short while later, I felt a warm throbbing in the area where the repair was done. Did I do damage? I learned my lesson not to walk, but I'm afraid of the damage I may have done. My doctor said nothing to do about it now, will have to wait and see when cast comes off. Any input?
