I just had my calcaneus surgery with a plate and 9 screws on nov 28. The meds have been difficult for the healing process so far on my stomach...I just stopped throwing up after cutting medication in half. Percocet 1/2 pill every 4 hours, sometimes 3 and oxycontin 12 hour cut in half every 12 hours that pass. I also did a enema which helped clear my bowels which the medication of previous vicodines and the anestsia had caused. I get shooting nerve pains and foot feels very hot like on fire or razors scrapping feeling from time to time. Before surgery they gave me a pain blocker which lasted about 24 hours..but once that wore off I was in extreme pain but eventually figured out which medication worked to stop the vomiting and control pain. I was recovering in hospital for two days.
