navicular stress fracture and more

I busted up my foot pretty bad in a fall 20+ ft. onto solid concrete. I shattered my navicular in like 9 places, cracked my 2nd metatarsal and cracked my cuneiform. on top of that, I also cracked the base of my left tibia, and busted my left wrist (scaphoid). Thus far i've had 3 surgeries (foot reconstruction, hardware removal from foot and scaphoid bone graft) i've got arthrhitis in my right foot and probably will for the rest of my life. Doc says bone fusion isnt ruled out but considers this drastic and only if the pain keeps intensifying. otherwise, my scaphoid was operated on sept. 2nd and hasn't healed completely yet (4 months in). Sadly, i think i know why. I'm a light smoker (5-10 cigs a day) first off this is a warning to anyone who has had small bone fractures: DO NOT SMOKE! you're making things very difficult if u do. I'm trying to quit this weekend as my doc says hope isn't lost. he thinks i quit, which i did: for 3 whole days.... as far as the foot healing goes, i nearly had a nonunion in my navicular as well. A bone stim (haha) seemed to fix things up tho. Any thoughts, comments etc. would be appreciated. Thx!
