LRTI surgery... advice?
I have arthritis at the base of my right thumb and will be scheduling surgery. I've had several injections but it's time for a (hopefully) more permanent solution. Does anyone have some advice prior to having it done? Are there aids to help with trying to use only one hand? What should I ask the surgeon when I see him? What is the usual recovery time?

Thank you so much; I'm kind of apprehensive about it.

Hi. I have also been contemplating having the LRTI surgery and have checked out several posts. You may want to check out Haydena's thread, and Gingertea. Try looking under basal joint surgery, or cmc joint surgery. Many have shared their experiences and some valuable advice. Good luck!
