| Left fibular sesamoid with AVN
I am a petite athletic woman with a fractured fibular sesamoid/AVN that needs support.
Commited to do this without sesamoidectomy and I need to hear from others who have healed. I received 2 PRP injections, have been on crutches 100% for 6 months and use the Exoxen 20 min twice daily for the past 3 months. Now my doctor wants to wean me off the crutches and I'm scared. My last MRI shows the posterior 2/3 of my bone is AVN, no change after 6 months. I don't care what I have to do to recover, or how for long.
Has anyone done a bone graft with AVN? Should I wait to do it?
