Screws after lisfranc surgery

I just got my cast off about two weeks ago, and since I've started walking more in the boot, the bump where my screws were inserted is getting visibly larger and more uncomfortable. You can actually see the head of the screws through the skin. Is this normal or should I contact my doctor. I don't like calling a lot because I feel like a hypochondriac.

Re: Screws after lisfranc surgery

I couldn't see mine but I could feel them and they did cause a fair bit of discomfort, especially in the boot. I would probably say just wait til your next appointment unless the pain is increasing then perhaps it would be wise to talk to your doctor about it.
