Eli Lilly Drug Company, the manufacturer of Forteo, has a program called "Lillyanswers" that helps seniors who qualify with the costs of Forteo if it is prescribed by a doctor.

You have to be on Medicare with no prescription coverage at all. You can have a Medicare supplement as long as there is no prescription coverage. You have to be at a certain income level, which I believe is up to $18,000 per year for a single, or $28,000 for a couple.

When you send in your application you have to include a photocopy of your Medicare card and copies of your last tax return.
