Linni, I just checked several different brands of calcium-magnesium supplements online, to see what was the "typical" amount of magnesium contained in them, compared with the amount of calcium.
Unfortunately, my findings were all over the place... ranging from a 5:1 calcium:magnesium ratio to a 1:1 ratio.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend that you take more than 250 mg magnesium daily without checking with your doctor.
FYI: There are products on the market that contain all three -- calcium, D, and magnesium. When you finish your humongous bottle of calcium and D, you might want to look into one of those.
