Forteo...possible side effect?? - Osteoporosis Message Board

Hello all, I have been on Forteo for about 6 months with no problems, recent bloodwork all checked out O.K. My problem is that for the past week I have felt really lousy, low energy, pain in hips and legs that gets worse as the day goes on, just not feeling right, hard to put into words. Know something is not right and wonder if this may have to do with Forteo as it is really the only medication I take besides Zantac. I surely hope this is not the culprit but I feel so awful and push to do things during the day knowing that something is not right. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Maybe it is all menopausal but I certainly hope not. I could not stand this for month/years on end. Thanks, let me know if this sounds familiar.

Do you think that you might have a flu virus? I hope it's not the forteo although medication side effects can start at any time, but pretty unlikely if you have been on it for 6 months and the blood tests are ok. It doesn't really sound familiar to me however you might consider just getting primary care doctor to give you the standard blood tests if these weren't included when checking you out regarding the Forteo. Let us know.
