I have been hearing a lot about this on another board. It supplies all the minerals that are needed and is a great detoxifier as well. There are different kinds (brands) of clay but I chose one called Terramin as someone mentioned she uses it for osteoporosis with great results as well as for another illness I am dealing with. No other calcium supplementation is needed with this product. I know that I have mentioned other products here (when I hear about them,) but I actually ordered this one.

Is it something you ingest as a pill or put on your skin?

There is a type that you put on your skin but this is taken internally.

I would probably like the one that is applied topically. My concern about ingesting clay is...do we absorb clay ? How will it work ? Somehow I don't picture clay metabolizing inside our bodies.

The use of clay (internally) is ancient. You could easily find more information. I would look under the words Terramin or French green clay.
