He has been having a few test as he has been suffering neck / shoulder pain from a sporting injury (several years ago and it reoccurs when he overdoes it!)

One of the tests revealed that he has a crumbling of vertabrae C5 & C6 "narrowing of the intervertebral discs", it was dismissed at the time as only being mild but and not the cause of the reoccuring neck pain. (Which is now being successfully treated by a physio).

The fact that there has been some crumbling, even if mild concerens me as he's only 38, Is this the start of oesteoporosis - should he be getting this investigated further?
