You have raised some good questions. I'm glad that your lump turned out to be "nothing to worry about" but it would be nice to know why it is there, wouldn't it? I guess I just assumed that if you were diagnosed with osteoporosis it affected all the bones of your body, but that the spine and hip were most vulnerable for fractures/breakage and that was why they tested those areas. I don't know if this is correct, though.
