Missed Forteo Last Night - Osteoporosis Message Board

I tried calling Lilly today regarding missed dose. Since it is the weekend I won't be able to get info till Monday. Has anyone obtained info from Lilly about what to do when dose is missed? I seem to remember reading something that you can take it when you remember but you must separate it from the next dose by a certain number of hours. I just can't find anything in writing now. Any help would be appreciated . Thanks.

Hi Osteo: I just read the medication guide online, and this is what it say's about missed doses.

"If you forget or are unable to take FORTEO at your usual time, take it as soon as possible on that day. Do not take more than one injection in the same day (Eli Lily, 2007 medication guide)."

Don't worry about it, I was off of it for a month, last August.

Thanks DesertBloom-I guess I am just going to let yesterday's missed shot go and take tonight's as usual.

I recall being told doses need to be 16 hours apart, minimum.

Hi Rosegarden: I've been wondering if you're finding the Forteo easier to deal with after some time. Hopefully you'll get great gains from it, and it will turn into a daily habit that you don't notice much anymore
