Just got Results after 1.5 yrs ezorb - Osteoporosis Message Board

Hi Everyone,
I had my first bone scan done in September of 2005 and just had my last scan done in September of this year. I just got back from the doctor 30 minutes ago and got my latest results. Just to put everything into perspective I walk on an average of 6 days per week. I do lift some light weights nothing over 25lbs.

I started taking ezord as prescribed by them about 20 months ago. I also take 1000iu of vitamin D every day as well. I am not well versed up on what the numbers mean. I will give the old results and the new.

Sept 2005
Spine
Bone Mineral Density 0.946 g/cm
Loss of -24% compared to young adult
-2.4% SD compared to young adult
-2.4 T-Score
Age 60

Femur
.970 g/cm Bone Mineral Density
Loss of -9% compared to young adult
Loss of -0.8 SD compared to young adult
-0.8 T Score
55 Average for this BMD
Chronological Age 60

September 2007
Spine
0.971 g/cm BMD
Loss of -22% compared to young adult
Loss of -2.2% SD compared to young adult
-2.2 T Score
Age 62

Femur
1.022 g/cm BMD
Loss of -4% compared to young adult
Loss of -0.4 SD compared to young adult
-0.4 T Score
Average for this BMD 42
Chronological Age 62

Hi Kobalt: I don't know anything about ezorb, but your 2 year results look really good!!!

From the numbers you posted it looks like you increased your bone density in the spine by .2 and in the femur by .4. Those are good numbers for calcium supplements. I'm sure your exercising etc has helped a lot as well so CONGRATS on the improvement. Your femur scores are in the normal range and your spine is in the osteopenia range-Fantastic.
