Hey Canna, how are you! I read the same thing, and have been taking 1 tablet (99mg) a day for about 6 months now. We always have potassium around anyway because my husband was told to take 1 a day as he's on high BP medication and this supposedly depletes potassium. My naturopath knows I'm taking it and seems to think it's fine. We also take 1 selenium every day; don't know if it helps BMD but apparently most soils are depleted of this mineral so we no longer get enough in our diets.
There's a list of "alkalinizing" foods out there but I've never bothered to follow it...I figure if I even remember to take all my vitamins and supplements I'm doing well
