After completing the 2 years on Forteo, the DEXA at my endo's office indicated:
Spine T-score improved from -3.1 to -2.3
Hip T-score improved from -2.4 to -2.1
The endo wanted me to start Boniva or Reclast, but I declined. For the time being I'll just continue with my alternative therapies (vibrating on the Juvent 1000, eating natto for K2, chewing Xylichew) and see if that will be sufficient to prevent any BMD decline for the next year.
Well, congratulations are in order; you must be pleased with these results! I'm curious: what prompted you to get the DEXA scan for diagnosing osteo in the first place? I ask because it's somewhat uncommon for males to be tested routinely. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the medical profession on this one, just that the "push" is to test post-menopausal females.
