| Re: Looking for relief from knee pain
Hi Craig; unless your knee problem is related to osteoporosis, you may get more responses from the Knee/Hip pain forums. However, I'm a regular poster here and I also have some knee issues unrelated to osteoporosis, so maybe I can help.
First of all, what is Parient? Secondly, it sounds as if much of your problem is related to chronic inflammation of the joint, and that you'd like something non-pharmaceutical. Look into prolotherapy. That's how I had both knees treated, and I'm pleased with the results. It's basically a series of dextrose-based injections into/around the joint. Hurts during the actual procedure, but feels better within a couple of days and I found it's effective. Posting rules prevent me from giving a website, but you could use any search engine. One caveat: I see you're Canadian (like me). I couldn't find a practitioner here so had to go to the US for treatment.
