Strontium / dosing instructions

I got my Strontium and plan to start it soon. The instructions say:

"As a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules daily with food or as directed by a physician. Take at least the daily RDI of calcium (1,000 mg). Do not take this product at the same time as a calcium supplement."

Those of you who take Strontium, do you take both capsules at once? (each capsule is 340 mg). I've seen people here say they take it at bedtime...do you take it with food as these directions say?

If taken with a meal, is dietary calcium ok? (the instructions specifically mention calcium supplement).

I searched the web and haven't been able to come up with any definitive answer to these questions.

Yes, take both capsules at the same time. Ideally you want to avoid taking any calcium supplements or calcium rich foods at the same time as the two compete for absorption.

Re: Strontium / dosing instructions

Thanks...

I wonder why it says it needs to be taken with food ... ? Have you ever tried that? I'm assuming it might be hard on the stomach...?

Re: Strontium / dosing instructions

Hi Kt...my bottle says to take with food too, but i usually take it on a mostly empty stomach. If i eat during the evening its something light like a piece of fruit or cup of tea. It takes strontium a few hours to absorb so that's why its recommended to be taken at bedtime so it has all night to do its thing. I've never had any kind of stomach upset from it. Don't over think it..just take them at bedtime, several hours away from supplements or high calcium foods and relax. take care..phyllis
