I was diagnosed with "osteopenia" (don't know my scan numbers) and my endo. put me on vitamin d and calcium, and I have no problem with the calcium, but I'm finding that when I take vitamin d, it's irritating my urinary tract/bladder---pains.
I spoke to my friend, a urologist, and he said this is definitely possible, and I want to take my vitamin d, so I was trying to find ---- has anyone experienced this? Was there any brand or type that reduced this?
Is it definitely D3 and not D2? I have never heard of this reaction. I take a liquid D3 (2 drops mixed in water). D-2 is synthetic and can be toxic in large amounts. That is why I asked.
Yep, D3, my gyno also thinks it's the vitamin d3, he wants me to try to get it from diet, but that doesn't seem to work (my fingernails blossom when I take the pill, and are like paper when I don't),
Where do you get the liquid, a health food store? What brands? I will try anything.
It is made by Biotics and called Bio-D-Mulsion Forte (you need the "forte" on the end because there is a similar product called Bio-D-Mulsion but it gives you much less D). Each drop equals 2000 IU. Good Stuff!
