I havent been on here in awhile but I want to share some good news. Two years ago when I had my second BoneDensity test my endo said I had osteopenia and should go on meds. Actonel made me sick after three weeks so instead in addition to calcium and Vit d3 I have been taking boron, magnesium, K2 and strontium for the past two years. I exercise about 6 days per week. About one month ago I stopped the strontium in preparation of todays test. I was so scared!!! However, the T-score on my spine went from -1.8 to -1.4 and some of my Z-scores are in the postive now...My hip went from -1.1 to -1.0 but however, the Hip Neck went from -2.3 to -1.6!!! Only the Wards?? got worse and I've been reading that it the most unreliable reading...So not only didnt I get worse like she thought I would but my bones are a little stronger..I"M SO THRILLED!!!!!and I want to thank everyone here for all the wonderful information that helped me so much!!!
Yay McBeth Yay, Yay Congrats to you. I know how good it feels to get positive results. Especially after exercising 6 days a week. I also do that, and am having another dexa in Dec. Here's wishing everyone good results with whatever methods they use-drugs, supplements, exercise, vitamins etc.
