| Cool weather exercise ands other thoughts...
Hello everyone, its been a bit slow around here lately so i thought i'd try to get things going with a topic we can all take part in. Here in IL fall has arrived with cooler temps and lots of rain. With the cooler temps and getting dark earlier i have had to make a few changes in my walking routine. I do like that with the cooler temps i don't have to walk at the crack of dawn to stay cool and that all day has become a good time to get outside. The dogs like it better too. With the approach of winter it will also mean more workouts inside. Time to dust off the recumbent bike and sort thru the walking and fitness videos. What changes will all of you have to make to accommodate the changing season?
Another thing i like about the cooler temps is the the change in what we eat. In the winter i make lots of soups, do more baking and enjoy being in the kitchen more. We had a bumper crop of peppers this year so after freezing what i'll need for cooking i've been making pepper jelly. it surprisingly good altho the last batch i made using all green peppers came out an olive drab color, but still taste good (the red peppers made prettier jelly)...i call it a manly jelly...hahaha. Anyone have any new recipes they'd like to share that are not only good for the bones, but the rest of us too? have a good day...take care...phyllis
