I was on Forteo for 2 years and have been off for another year. I can't say that it really does although I did gain a few. However, I was gaining very slowly for a few years before that. I may have gained a couple of pounds but not sure it was from the Forteo. For me I think it is from other things like not as much exercise as I used to do . I also have Fibromyalgia and do not have that much energy . I have also slowed down a lot in my metabolism which used to be very fast. I think it has nowslowed down to a crawl (: !! So, those are also big factors for me.
