50,000 units vitamin D per week(drisdol)

Does this vitamin cause swelling in feet and hands with pain? My daughter was put on 50,000 units of D after they ran a bone density test. Since then she has had swelling in her feet and with pain. No Doctor that we have taken her too has been able to figure why the swelling. She is a diabetic and has Prada-Willi syndrome.

Re: 50,000 units vitamin D per week(drisdol)

I take 50000 iu per week and have no swelling. However, that doesn't mean it is not effecting your daughter differently than me. Are they testing her level with blood tests? It is possible to overdose vitamin D. My doctor wants my Vit D 25 OH test up to 80 but it should not be over 100. He wants it high for anti-cancer and other disease prevention reasons.
