I posted previously about Troubled Dexa Results...In reading the sheet given to me by the Doctor, it also says: Total Tscore in the left hip is -1.6, but the left femoral neck is -2.7. Which score is more important??? I am freaking out here!

You said your left hip is -1.6 and left fermoral neck is -2.7. -2.5 and worse is osteoporosis and -1.0 to -2.5 is low bone mass. It says your left hip if low bone mass and your left fermoral neck is -2.7 which is osteoporosis. At least that is what I was told as for as low bone mas and osteoporosis. I have osteoporosis so I am on Forteo.

You have osteopenia. Total hip is used according to WHO.

So the total hip score (-1.6) is more important than the femoral neck of the hip score (-2.7)? Then why does my report read "Osteoporosis of the hip?"
