Hi, Well I am 39 years old and my spine is of a 75 year old. My Doctor put me on Fosomax and I took it for only 4 weeks, I had such bad heartburn that I could not sleep or eat so I stop taking it. I then tried the nasal spray but that doesn't work nose bleeding all the time. So right now I am not taking no meds.

I have been on Fosamax for 5 months and have not experienced any problems since I started taking it with slightly warm water instead of cold. I also wait a full hour before breakfast instead of the 1/2 hour recommendation.

My husband has been on Fosomax for over a year and has not experienced any side effects from the medication, including hair loss and believe me, he can't afford to lose any!!! He just now got switched over to the 70mg. tablets for once a week, which is a little more convenient.
