Hello all,
I'm new to the board and I'm 45 years old. I've suffered with fibroid tumors for the past 10 years, and I finally ended up having a hysterectomy this past January. Prior to the hysterectomy, I had
Lupron for 3 months prior to the surgery. I had intended to have just the fibroids removed, but it turned into a hysterectomy. I have taken lupron several times in my life and I'm told that it can
make bones weak. My doctor ordered a bone scan prior to this last session of lupron and at the time (Sept 2002), my spine t-score was -0.3 (94% of bone mass), and my hip was -1.38 (79% of bone mass). The hip one concerns me and even tho I've recovered good
since my hysterectomy, I haven't gotten a new bone scan to see how much worst it's gotten. I kept my ovaries so I still have estrogen and I've been taking every calcium supplement I can get my hands on.
I've also started an exercise routine that includes walking and low-impact aerobics. I have lots more energy now since I don't lose blood anymore

) I could not take the fosamax or actenel. Gave me
horrible headaches. I recently started HGH spray under the tongue and I've heard that ISOFLAVONES is a good option. I haven't tried the ISOFLAVONES yet tho. Are there any other things on the market
that may help so that I won't have to resort to the fosamax??
Thanks in advance !!
Cathy
