Shoulder pain

I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both shoulders. I had a cortisone shot in the right then 2 weeks later in the left. The right one felt great but the left one didn;t make any difference. 6 weeks later he did another shot in the left arm, although it hurt for 2 days I expected that. So far so good, but,,,
Now i am having pain in my right one again.. I dont understand how getting one in the other shoulder would bring pain to the other affected one.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Re: Shoulder pain

Hi Lauralie,
It's possible the first injection in your left arm didn't reach the correct spot but the second did and is giving you relief. The cortisone can work for as little as a few hours up to weeks and months. It's possible your right arm is worse and the cortisone only helped the pain for a short time. I hope you can get longer term pain relief.
