Just received my DXA scan, I was extremely impressed with the results. I have been on forteo for 12 months. My spine improved from osteoporosis to the osteopenia and even to a normal range. My right and left hip improve some, but not as much as the spine. Doctor was very excited about this news. Maybe by next year everything will be in the normal range. So grateful for Forteo!

so pleased for you. I have just started Forteo and have had some awful side effects, mainly loss of appetite and weight loss, but I am trying to stick with it as I know its helping my spine, the pain has improved greatly. The OP Nurse says it has a pain relief in it which I wasnt aware of. Its great to read something positive and gives us all hope.

forgot to ask did you take any other supplements and any diet changes as well as using Forteo?

Please try and stick with the forteo. I did not know it had a pain relief in it. I started taking a calcium pill every day, but after a short time (1 month) I started peeing green, when I asked about this I was told our bodies void what it doesn't need. So to make a long story short, I just used the forteo. The only change to my diet was I started drinking some milk. I have also read the first year on forteo results may not be as good as the second year. I was very pleased with my results and hope that the second year are even better.
