| Good estrogen/bad estrogen
I was researching estrogen containing foods, and came across an article on estrogen levels. Apparently there is a urine test to determine the ratio of good estrogen to bad estrogen, and if the ratio isn't good, a woman can be at risk of cancer (breast, uterine, etc.) The remedy would be eating foods that block or weaken estrogen like cabbage, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, etc. and taking supplements containing the nutrients found in these foods which block estrogen.
I assume eating estrogen blocking foods wouldn't be good for bone density, but eating foods high in estrogen (like apples) might improve it.
Do we tip our diets in favor of not getting breast cancer or not getting osteoporosis?
BTW, there was a report on the news a few nights ago that Omega3 fats (fish) is good for bones.
