Hi, i've been meaning to ask, do you also have thyroid issues? Your name has me curious. The usual time between DEXA's is 1-2 years or more often if there is a reason to check more often. Its also depends on what your insurance will cover, altho DEXA's are fairly inexpensive if you want to have one sooner. Its takes a while for whatever changes you are making to show up on the scan. What does your doctor want you to do for your osteo? Did your doctor check for secondary causes for osteo at such a young age? I had one at 1 year after DX, but have since had them every 2 years. take care...phyllis
