I can't really believe at 52, I have osteoporosis of 3.1 in spine and osteopenia in hip! I am pretty scared to continue with yoga/pilates, due to twisting and bending, Also playing hard with my grandchildren. I feel too young to have to make so many lifestyle changes. I am very active and DO NOT want to take any of the harsh RX Meds on market now...Anyone else with me?

I know exactly how you feel; got my T-scores this week and was shocked. I'm 53 and my scores range from -3.2 to -4.3. Scary for sure! I'd been researching for awhile since my MD wanted me to start Fosamax (I had a chest Xray and notes came back with suspected osteopenia). After reading about biphosphonates and what they do; I can't see taking them at all - they're scarier than the disease. I have a much more holistic approach to health than my MD! I ordered a program today for nutritional supplements, acid/alkaline balancing diet, exercise and some books with more info. I haven't been active due to COPD but I have to get that way & fast but carefully. I'm with you on this - all the way. Best of luck!
