| first post-need help w/osteo spine pain
Need some help and mutual encouragement from others who understand.
My
first spinal fracture came in 08 when a nurse asked me to help move my Mother up in the hospital bed. That was misdiagnosed as a back sprain. Within 2 months I had 2 lumbar fractures that were unmistakable. Had kyphoplasty 2 yrs. ago(did no good), have had so many steriod injections, nerve ablation and none of it has helped as far as the pain. I take Norco 325/10- tizantitine 4mg - gabapentin 600 mg.. Could not take Oxycontin due
to the severe constipation and it didn't seem to help the pain much anyway.
I was told on my last visit that there was some "slippage" and had an MRI
and apparently that MRI will go to a surgeon. I'm still trying to work but am
having such a hard time dealing with the pain and the fear of getting hurt.
Those of us without an obvious injury people can see have such a hard time. Also have been on Forteo for 21 months but can't have bone density test until after 24; wondering if it really helps.
