| Re: SHORELINE: How Are You?
Thanks guys, I had my first increase on tuesday, from 2mg per day to 2.4 mg. It's going to take several adjutemnts to get this can purring, and then they can set it to deliver bolus doses in the PM when I hurt the most. One of the cool features of the medtronics pump.
Surprisingly, I haven't expereinced any withdrawal from the change from meth to to IT morphine. I've gone from 150 mgs a day to 30 in less than a week with no ill effects.
Sitting up in a chair puts more pressure on the pocket incision , I wish I could answer more questions but the other folks seem to be doing a great job handling the questions and worries of PM.
I know and my wife knows that at some point I'll have to do something about the loose screws toggling and shifting but it hasn't been as severe the last week, of course that's because I have been pretty sedentary and on my back so we'll see how it all works out. At least I'm not sick from withdrawal and didn't develop a headache. No side effects to complain about, I actually feel like my head is clearer, no more urinary retention and hopefully I'll just keep feeling better as the pump is tuned up.
I'm hoping some body out there will invent bone glue they can inject into the loose holes where the screws toggle to tighten that problem up. For now I still feel like I made the right decision.
Take care and many thanks, Dave
