| Re: Funny stuff we do: what do you do?
I don't know if this would be considered unusual. But, about 8 years ago I started keeping a pain diary. My husband was initially really upset by it. He thought I was focusing way too much on my pain and it was making me worse. But, it really helped me put things in objective terms. When I worked full time I was in a management position and the person I learned from always told me document, document and document some more. This ensured I always had to go back to if I reached a verbal agreement with someone. (There were always some people I dealt with inevitably didn't follow through on their end, and the documentation saved me a couple of times.) Anyway sorry to digress; but it was like second nature for me to write things down -- conversations with Doctors, etc. I have to say it has helped me more than a few times. Also, I could really see times when my life when my pain and condition were relatively managed. I guess I'm that way about everything though .. you wouldn't believe my kids "growng up" books!
