Hi all,

My surgeons office has set me up with a new PM guy. His credentials read like a promotional booklet for the hospital. His name is David Drake. He practices at both St Mary's (Richmond VA) and Sheltering Arms (Richmond VA). I was just wondering if anyone out there had any experience with him. Reading about all of his degrees and credentials are nice, but don't exactly tell you much about his "human" side. I know he should be up on most of the modalities offered in pain management. His nurse called me today and told me he had read my file and agreed to take me on as a patient. It has taken my surgeon months to get me in to him. My surgeon said he was asking him to do this as a favor because this guy is supposedly so good, that's the reason he is so hard to get in to see. If anyone knows anything, I would appreciate their opinions. I'm in no way new to pain management, but I am at the point that I'm not up to "finding" a good PM doc.
