Thankfully, the storm didn't even really graze us. We had 2 days of overcast skies and some rain, but it was a non-event for those in South Florida (like Hollywood, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, etc.)
My grandparent's home in Boca Grande was significantly damaged (part of roof sheared off) Luckily they were on vacation at the time in illinois. They called ahead and had the neighbors board up as best they could. They arrived back home yesterday. I believe they will be able to salvage the house (they are insured) along with a good portion of their personal affects. So all in all they were relatively lucky.
