Why need triplikit for kolonopin[not controlled. - Pain Management Message Board

I got some scripts from my doc,one of them was kolonopin,and it was a triplikit[bad spelling]just wondering why its not controlled,if you need a triplikit for this med?

Klonopin is a controlled supstance.

Hi,

I used Klonopin for RLS, FM and to help me sleep. I took 1mg at bedtime for 3 years. I always got my script with 5 refills from my Rheumatolgist. It is a benzo,(anti-anxiety med) but it can be written with refills. It's not on the DEA's list for monthly single scripts.

I am just now switching from Klonopin to Trazadone at the request of my Psyciatrist. I'm also using Lexapro which treats depression AND axiety, being that Klonopin also treats anxiety, I guess he figured that was too much anti-anxiety medication for me, and it was really time for me to get off that benzo. I've had some w/d affects, not too bad, just a little shakiness and my FM pain has increased some but nothing as bad as when I came off Effexor!

Thanks for the replies! The reason why i thought it wasn't,on my bottle,theres no orange sticker that states controlled substance,so maybe the pharmacist forgot to put it on there.What i do,is lock up all my meds. that are controlled.

According to the numbering on the bottle (they have a numbering code for different classes here) my Klonopin is a controlled substance. I got the script last month and the script was for 90 tabs (a months supply) with four refills. It must be a schedule III, which is refillable. My Ambien is the same numbering and it is a schedule III. I got it too with four refills.
