aching in my bones HELP! - Pain Management Message Board

I am hoping that someone can help me to find out what makes me hurt so bad in my bones. It gets real bad when I just hang around the house in shorts. My legs seem to get so sore that I can barely walk. If I go out shopping the air conditioners make me hurt there too.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so can you help me in figureing why the air conditioner does this to me. There are times when I can't even take one more step at the store. I feel like crying cuz I hurt so bad and I just want to sit down and call my husband to come and get me. So I have stopped wearing shorts in the summer. It doesn't do it in the sun just in air conditioning.

Do you have any sweeling or color changes in your legs? Are they hypersensitive to touch?
I have RSD and I have extreme!!!!! pain that feels like it is deep in the bones However this is a nerve problem.
Have you had any surgeries that could have caused nerve damage. The air on my legs makes them ache so bad and feel like acid is being poured on them.
hope this isn't what you have but I guess it's worth checking in to.

Thanks for your post. But no I don't have any color change in my legs. Just this horrific pain that is almost crippeling. I have it in my house too. I can not wear shorts or they start hurting real bad. They swell once in awhile but I don't attribute the swelling to that. Actually in the winter and summer I have to sit with a heating blanket on when they start hurting like this. I just wish I knew why. When you touch them they feel cold to the touch.
I don't wish this on anyone but if there is anyone that has this. I hope you will enlighten me on what causes it.

hi rls, welcome to healthboards , i don't know if i have the answer for u but i have the same problem whith going int to the stores when they have the aircondionting up so high i feel like screaming . mine was so bad that i really thought that i had bone cancer. well i had a bone scan done and it wasn't cancer but it came back that i have osteoporosis,and they also found out that i had three fractured ribs .the fractures were already two months old and i didn't even know that i had them. but i was tol that you can get these fractures with no pain i was put on ditrocal meds and i haven't had a flare up like that again ,but i still cannot stand to be in airconditioned places i do not even use it at home because it will cause too much pain ,and i already have enough with the rsd i think you should ask your dr. to send you for the bone scan to find out what is going on with your bonesi hope this has helped you peace and freedom from pain sandy
