I will be moving to Los Angeles, CA from Washington, DC on November 1, 2005. I am currently being treated for pain following a TLIF I had on January 5, 2005. I was hoping the surgery would eliminate my need for PM by this time but unfortunately it hasn't.

I am wondering if anyone here knows how Pain Management Doctors/Clinics differ from DC to LA? Specifically, I know the DC area is very strict and it's difficult to find someone to treat with meds, even if you've tried every other form of treatment already. I've been very lucky with my doctor here and I was told I would be given a recommendation for a doc in LA but I am still doubtful that everything will work out. I've moved before and had to start from square one with PM (even though I had everything documented in my files) and it was horrible.
