For those of you not familiar with my "story" I have crohns disease but it took the doctors over 20 years to figure that out. Before they did everything was all in my head, I just didn't want to go to school and then lastly it was just IBS according to the doctors. A few years ago I was diagnosed by ultrasound with a gallbladder polyp. I was having a lot of abdominal pain which is why the ultrasound was done. They told me a polyp can't cause pain so it must be my crohns acting up. For the last couple of years these pains have been coming and going. I've been trying to tell them during this time that I thought it was my gallbladder but of course they wouldn't listen. Recently I convinced my doctor to send me for another ultrasound to check out this polyp and see if it had grown. And what do I find out?? Its not a polyp but a gallstone that has been moving around and blocking the duct and that is why I've been having pains and getting so sick. I'm pretty sure this u/s is correct because when I had my other one the technician didn't do anything to see if it moved or not and the last technician did. I guess the next step is to take it out but my doc said it couldn't be done by laser that they would have to take it out the old way because I've had so many abdominal surgeries already. Anyone on here familiar with that type of surgery? Sorry for the "book" I wrote also. I know its a long read.
