Hi, everywhere I read I see another pain med user being put down. I will admit that I did my share of putting my nose in the air, but all I want is to work!!!! Maybe "performance enhancer" will lead to a baseball negative. I need some Ideas. I was also wondering about rotating my pills? My old pain PA said it should be done. I am on 100mgs daily of Methadone, 3600mgs of Neurontin daily, and 30 mgs of flexeril a day. I have only recently had the Methadone upped, otherwise they have been the same for 6 months. My Vicadin is too weak to do anything anymore (7.5/750 for breakthru). Any help is appreciated. Thank you, LD

some doctors do believe in switching meds about once a year for about a month. Mine tried that once and it was a pretty bad experience because my pain levels shot up and it didn't make my morphine any more effective.

My concern with you though is that you are on a higher level of methadone and it is a very difficult medication to stop taking. I do not know if switching to a different medication for a month such as Morphine or not will actuall prevent the withdrawals that occur with Methadone. I know if it were reverse and you went from Morphine to Methadone you'd be fine but not sure about the other way around. I am very sure someone else will come along and enlighten you to it in that regards.
